If you have ever lived the country way of life and experienced the quite and piece, the ability to own and enjoy livestock if you wish, horses and pets, as many on this site seem to want and wish for, the luxury to grow a garden and reap the rewards, to be able to work in your yard doing whatever, dressed as you want without someone to judge you, this would spark your interest anew,

I do enjoy travelling, whether it is a day-trip or weekend to Kananaskis or Banff, or just getting in the car going in the direction it is pointing, or grabbing the passport and heading out to see some more of this vast world.
I have been to England but didn't get to Europe, I would like to see some of it. Enjoyed Australia and New Zealand and the people there. I recently spent a week in Cuba, which was great. First time I have taken a holiday to somewhere warm in the winter time, it was a really nice break. It would be so much nicer travelling with that special person, to see and experience things together rather than on your own.
I admit my idea of camping has changed a bit over time, after the day's excursion's, whether just walking a trail or window shopping in Banff, finding a nice cabin/motel with hot and cold running water, a nice soft bed and a jacuzzi built for two to enjoy a glass of wine while talking about the days events is more my idea of camping.
I enjoy walking holding hands, cuddling while watching a movie in the evening, maybe with a glass of wine.
I enjoy dancing but it has been a fairly long time, and it might be worth a few dance lessons if I find the right person who would like to do this with me. I much prefer dances where I am able to hold onto my partner during the dance......
I have 2 grown boys that are a big part of my world, and always will be. Although I am sure every parent would say the same thing about their kids. I love both boys unconditionally and always will no matter how old they get or where they go or do in their lives.

. The little thinks in life make me smile small children and animals. My hobbies are gardening,crafts,reading,shopping and renovations. I am very close to my family,they are my main social life. When I answered the questions, they asked if I wanted a man to live a healthy lifestyle, I meant ate well, wasn't a couch potato..and they keep matching me with athletic, run for 2 hours every morning..hike to mount Everest..I am sorry but that is totally what I don't want.(talk about feeling inadequate)..lol I try to stay active and I eat as healthy as I can, but there always seem to be something that I am not suppose to eat...sitting right there out of the corner of my eye. ..:) I go to the gym 2 times a week, but would not consider myself a fitness freak..lol.
I have a great job, that I love and I love my friends and family, am romantic and love to cook..I love to travel, and have many destinations I would like to go to..

I enjoy a variety of cultural activities: art galleries ( I am a professional artist (painting and drawing) �on the side’ of a regular day job), museums or shops in any city or town…love to listen to music; alternative rock, classic rock, pop, folk indie, new age, blues, salsa, reggae, country rock, classical… theatre; Improv, Broadway, mystery. I like to dance, modern… but not into ballroom or line dancing. I like watching sports; the Olympics (live or on tv), the Calgary Stampeders (live) (have the jersey) or Flames… books I enjoy are non-fiction: history, home design, personal growth, art and music and fiction; historical romance and fantasy… movies and television shows include; science fiction (Star Trek, Star Wars, action/adventure, fantasy, comedy, crime shows (L&O and Criminal Minds)…outdoor festivals: the Calgary Stampede (really like marching bands), horses, outdoor concerts, cotton candy and min donuts, motor-cross), the Lilac festival, Folk festival, Fireworks displays, attending Drum Circles (have an African jambee drum and native Frame drum) Africaday, the Air show in Lethbridge, …coffee shops with great atmosphere, like �Higher Ground’, in Kensington but I go to Tim Horton’s too…I always enjoy dining out especially at a steak house (the Keg or Smugglers) or a seafood venue… taking a drive out of the city to see local sites/shops: Bragg Creek, Cochrane, Black Diamond, Fort Macleod….or to walk/hike through and photograph the beautiful Alberta mountains, badlands, foothills. I do have arthritis in both knees and asthma so an easy or moderate hike is preferred. I would not call myself a risk taker but would support someone else's interests and try something new on occasion. I occasionally do things out of my area of expertise... some examples would be flying a small plane with an instructor pilot (I won a free lesson), learning how to use five new power tools for a renovation job, getting hypnotized, and learning how to play the piano as an adult.
I believe in honesty and viewing life with a sense of wonder and humour and also giving back to the community to make the world a better place. I care about the environment, understand astrology (but don’t worry I will not ask for your sign) and believe in a spiritual philosophy (not religion) that celebrates our connection to the universe and each other. It would be good if you are a man who is interested or involved in the arts and have a positive and calm, sincere attitude. If I am interested in you and likewise, you in me… then we should meet and then take the time to get to know each other. If we do like each other, it will be because we are attracted to each other, have some common or new interests to share and are able support each other even when not together or doing the same things. I am most passionate about my family and friendships, my personal interests and making a relationship the best that it can be and exploring life together with honesty, joy, and a creative and loving spirit. I believe the best partner brings out the best in me.
