I just moved to Edmonton from Ontario to do my PhD in Biological Sciences at the University of Alberta. At the University I study marine biology and I also teach which is something I really love doing. When I was in Ontario I worked one-on-one with individuals with special needs, it was an amazing job and it’s one of the things I wish I didn’t have to leave behind when coming to Alberta.
I enjoy cooking, reading, snowboarding, hiking, running and a variety of other things. I am not an avid bar goer and go rather infrequently. When I do go out it’s usually to go catch a game with some friends or just catch up at a pub over a few drinks. I am also up for simply staying in with a glass of wine. I enjoy being outside, adventuring, driving around and hiking… anything as long the snow isn't on the ground. I enjoy the working out but I try to keep it to outdoors. When I can find the time, I really like to read but there’s not much time with work / Grad School.
