Thanks for checking out my profile. Rather than turn my profile into a lengthy and extremely boring novel, I think I'll keep this relatively short and to the point and hopefully it captures your interest.
I'm a well educated, attractive professional in the Calgary area. I haven't had any complaints about my looks and I usually don't have a problem meeting women at the grocery stores so I've come to the general conclusion, which is based on strong empirical evidence mind you, that if I can take a woman's attention away from something as important as potatoes, broccoli and toilet paper...then I really must be something to behold. Hmm...that kind of sounded like a sales pitch but when you look at this whole online dating community I guess its all about competition anyways which really is the truth of the matter so I figure I'd throw in some good research data which would set me above my competition. What else can I say about myself? I'm pretty active, used to be a professional athlete in my younger days, and like to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
What am I looking for? Someone who I find attractive, fit, intelligent and mature who's interested in dating with the potential of something long-term if it progresses to that point. However, I'm not fixated on dating and relationships...I'm really about meeting new and interesting people and if something more comes out of it great but if not new friendships and activity partners are definitely more than welcome.

Do you like grilled salmon, or shrimp in wine sauce ? These are common frozen dinners I eat , cooking is not something I mind doing, as long as it takes under 30 minutes. If you like to cook though, I would love to spend time learning. For some reason I watch every episode of hell's kitchen and master chef, so maybe I just need some motivation. I do eat healthy however, and am looking for someone who checks the saturated fat content on foods at the grocery store. staying away from the fried chicken and hamburgers.
Do you workout, or play any sports. I am pretty off and on with this, but if I had a gym partner I think we could motivate each other. I live across the street from the talisman centre, so do try my best.
Other than the gym, I am a pretty motivated, driven person, knowing what I want out of life. I want to meet someone special who has that inner fire as well, so we can completent each other and help reach our goals.

I love family and friends and spending time with both as much as I can. I love kids, and usually am the biggest kid in the group. I'm a native Torontonian, back in Canada after 10 years of graduate school in the States. I’ve been here about 2 weeks, working as a research assistant at Alberta Hospital Edmonton, but will be completing a residency in Clinical Psychology in September.
I try to live an active lifestyle and most of my days are filled with activity: I enjoy bodybuilding training, tennis and improving my public speaking skills at Toastmasters. I’m also interested in making friends and exploring the Edmonton area (I’ve already compiled a list of must-try restaurants), and would love someone to share these experiences with!
The girl I’m looking for should also be interested in trying new things, be open-minded and be engaged in the world. An active lifestyle and physical fitness is important to me, and that’s something I would like in my partner as well. I have a lot of passions that I devote my time to, including getting better at my craft (psychology), improving my physique and tennis skills and exploring and learning more about this amazing world that we live in, be it through tasting something new at a farmer’s market, a visit to the planetarium or art museum or even a new exercise (e.g. crossfit) regiment. There’s so much to be experienced and enjoyed that it would be a shame not to see and try as much as we can. Don’t you agree?
Honesty, Compromise and Being Right:
OK, last one first: I know from experience that I’m not always right, and I don’t have to be. I don’t like being wrong, but I do make a concerted effort to admit it when I am, to apologize for my mistakes, and to not repeat them. Compromise: Being single is the easiest thing in the world, because you're responsible to nobody but yourself. But the price of admission for a good (grown-up?) relationship is occasionally sacrificing some of that freedom for the sake of the other person, and the relationship as a whole. If done right, it’s more than worth the sacrifice. Which leads us to Honesty. Needless to say, no relationship lasts long without it, and in my experience the most important bit of honesty involves being honest with your feelings and needs, to both yourself and your partner. Need more space? Please say so. Didn’t like something I just said or did? Neither do I sometimes. Tell me about it, and I’ll listen.
